A month or so ago, Richmond, Va., held its first ever "Sexpo," a convention of porn stars and pornographic materials. Some from our church and others in the area went not to protest but to pray. One church -- Mt. Gilead -- paid for space to set up a booth and offer free foot massages and gift bags with Gospel materials to the women and vendors. They did not openly advertise themselves as a church.
As the vendors were setting up, several said, "Well, I guess the church will be here protesting today." Later they said, "I thought the church would be here? Where are the protestors?" The women from Mt. Gilead said, "We are the church, and we've been here the entire time."
